NEXT STEPS

 

The next steps involve:

• Getting approval for BEST cohort #2 to take place at the Tennessee Prison for Women (TPFW) starting November 2015

• Recruiting participants involves traveling to Bledsoe Correctional Complex in Pikeville, TN as well as TPFW - Annex to present BEST to the prospective participants

• Select Cohort 2 participants from applications using online rubric and scorecard

• Notify everyone of acceptance or thank you for applying

• Setting up the room for the course - furniture, audio-visual plans, whiteboard

• Getting a computer lab set up in part of the room

• Raising funds to make BEST sustainable through grants and donations

• Making sure the electronic tablets are loaded and configured for this class

• Confirming day/time for instructors for Phase One

• Scheduling Entrepreneur and Speaker of the Week

• Revisiting "Movies That Matter" to make sure they are optimal examples of the values for the students

• Create in-class library

• Create weekly schedule
